Our studio is located on the edge of Grant Woods Forest Preserve in north eastern Illinois.
We were hooked the first time we saw a lump of clay magically grow from the potters wheel into a beautiful pot. The clay is soft, malleable, and fragile, but under fire it transforms into a durable useful ware that will last for generations.
All our pottery is individually handcrafted, either thrown on the wheel or hand built using slabs of clay. Once the piece reaches a state of leather hard it is then decorated by carving an intricate design, hand applying leaves and handles, or under painted with glazes. Each piece is signed and receives the potters mark before firing in an electric kiln.
